Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Desktop/Laptop Computer
management

a. Manage the deployment of end-user computers and associated peripheral equipment to meet the needs of the
business.

b. Maintain deployed computer and peripheral hardware through troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement.

c. Maintain deployed computer software including software delivery, upgrades, and patch management.

d. Manage inventory, tracking and disposal of end-user IT equipment using Lansweeper

e. Manage tracking and reporting of software installations.

f. Develop and maintain standard
desktop deployments for end-user computers

 

User Account Management

a. Perform user account management activities for Microsoft Active Directory including user account creation, password resets, and granting/revoking system access.

b. Perform user account management activities for Microsoft Office365 and Exchange including license assignment and mailbox administration.

c. Perform user account management for other business systems and applications used within  he company.

 

User Support

a. Provide direct and remote assistance to user requests for hardware, software, and business system support.

b. Utilize helpdesk ticketing system to manage user requests.

 

 

Application Support

a. Provide technical and user support for business applications as assigned

b. Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 solutions, including Sharepoint and Business Intelligence technologies.

 

Special Purpose Computer Support

a. Provide technical support for computers used as dedicated control systems for laboratory and manufacturing processes.

b. Provide backup imaging and restore services for special purpose computers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT user support roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-service mindset, and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience using WSUS or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for computer and software deployment, and for patch
    management.
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft endpoint operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10)
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory for managing user & computer accounts, security groups
  • Experience with use and support of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with user account administration and support in Office 365 Enterprise and Azure AD environmentLAN
  • Experience with Exchange Online for creation and management of user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and
    message tracing.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and services including TCP/IP addressing, subnetting, VLAN concepts, DHCP, DNS.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

 

Knowledge, Skill and
Abilities

  • Experience with administration of Windows Server operating systems (Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019)
  • Experience with Sharepoint Online
  • Experience with VMWare Hypervisor
  • Experience with Veeam Backup & Recovery
  • Prior experience managing technology in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Servers (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking technologies (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VLAN’s, Traceroute, Ping, DHCP, DNS). (preferred)
  • CUCM VoIP system (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vCenter (preferred)
  • Hyper-V (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Dell SAN’s a plus.

Exposure of manufacturing environment, which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as: safety glasses, hearing protection and shoe boot wear. Ability to travel to outside locations on occasion in uncontrolled environments.
